New Data: 2024 Roadway Deaths

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that 39,345 people died in motor vehicle crashes in the U.S. in 2024. While that's a modest improvement from the year before, traffic fatalities remain well above a decade ago.
